About us

HorseShake grew
out of a simple frustration.

"Many owners do their best — but miss the full picture. Not because they aren't paying attention, but because no one adds it up for them."

Why I build this

"I did my best.
And missed the total."

Narnia got hay, a concentrate, a balancer and three supplements. I had a reason for each. But no one could tell me what they did together — whether I was giving things double, or missing something.

No vet, no feed supplier, no forum gave me an honest full picture. So I started calculating it myself, against the official standards. That became HorseShake — so you are no longer left in the dark.

— Ghita, founder
"We don't sell supplements. We calculate what you already give — and are honest about what we can and can't see."

HorseShake is built to take that question mark away. Not with a marketing promise, but with calculations based on sources you can look up.

We always start with the basics: forage + concentrate + balancer + supplements together. Only then do we look at what stands out against reference values. And we are honest about how sure we are.

No selling supplements. No making a diagnosis. No hard promises we can't keep. Just insight that is traceable.

The trigger
The sum was missing
Forage, concentrate, balancer, supplements — tracked separately, never calculated together. HorseShake adds it up.
Core choice
No supplement push
HorseShake can also show that something may be doubled up or that there is insufficient data. That is the point.
Approach
Confidence visible
We don't hide uncertainty. Low, medium or high — based on what you enter. Honest about the limits of our calculation.
Promise
Traceable sources
NRC 2007, CVB, peer-reviewed studies. Visible per nutrient. You don't have to take anything from us on faith.
What's different

No supplement push. Just insight.

Most nutrition tools start with a complaint or a product. HorseShake starts with the basics: what does your horse already get?

That makes a big difference. Because sometimes the answer is: you're already doing it right. And sometimes the sum shows something you hadn't expected.

We start with the ration — not with a supplement that needs to be sold
We show confidence per nutrient — even when it's low
We reveal the source status — NRC, CVB, or estimate
We make no medical claims — when in doubt: the vet
We give manual review before delivering paid reports
We sell no products of our own — we calculate what you already give

Four principles.

In every calculation and every line of copy. Unchanging.

01 —

Base first

We calculate the full ration before we say anything about deficiencies or excesses. Forage + concentrate + balancer + supplements together — not separately.

Promise: you see the total before you draw a conclusion
02 —

Not a diagnosis

HorseShake provides an indicative ration analysis. Not veterinary or medical advice. On red flags — medication, EMS, acute complaints — we refer you to your vet.

Promise: we don't overstep our role
03 —

Honest about uncertainty

Every result has a confidence score. We don't hide uncertainty — we show exactly how much weight you can put on each result.

Promise: unknown is not the same as deficient
04 —

No sales pressure

HorseShake doesn't sell supplements. We show what's already in there — even if that means there's possible overlap and you need less than you thought.

Promise: our interest and yours are the same

What HorseShake doesn't do.

Precisely because we're careful, you can place the result better. Clarity about what we don't promise lowers distrust — not the other way around.

No diagnosis — with complaints or illness: your vet
No treatment plan — no veterinary ration advice
No performance promise — we don't promise better performance or condition
No FEI guarantee — we flag points of attention, no indemnity
No 100% certainty — confidence depends on your input
No hard verdict on missing data — unknown ≠ deficient
What we do do

We calculate your ration, set it next to reference values, show confidence and add the source. Traceable. Honest. Without gut feeling.

Slogan

"Your horse deserves more than just a carrot."

A sport horse deserves more than well-meant loose supplements. Clarity first.
